It’s the man behind the label now Timewarp (aka Angelos Stoumpos) who just dropped his own Tropicaliente EP
And this is exactly the kind of music I looove spreading around. Not because of having to do with summer vibes –although you can find plenty of them here, which is absolutely perfect– but mainly because it has everything to do with carefully and elegantly crafted vibrant tunes.
We know the high standards of the label in the Greek evolving scene, they are fitting here with the soulful, exotic inspirations of the project. Tropicaliente it is! And in dub, it shines.
Guests like half French half Greek Georges Perin, Panagiotis Skraparlis (lyrics), Al the X-King in his various roles, Sparky T blending with his world famous scratching skills, Tasos Stergiou with his flute, Mister Kentro and his accordion touch, little Timewarp Junior also, all with their vital contribution to the funk, dub, reggae, disco, mediterranean flavors and texture of the songs.
